Last week’s key match ups weren’t very crucial to the outcome of the game. Aside from Adrian Peterson’s 75 yard run down to Detroit’s 3 yard line, he wasn’t much of a factor. The punt return game wasn’t a factor either, given that Minnesota’s first punt was halfway through the fourth quarter (they only punted twice, by the way). And surprisingly, the Lions didn’t turn the ball over at all. They actually won the turnover battle, meaning Minnesota recorded just the second victory in the last nine meetings between these two teams where the victor lost the turnover battle. Oh well.

Before we get into the positional match ups, it’s important to note that this matchup is taking place in London instead of Arrowhead Stadium. That should be an automatic advantage for the Lions, who played in Wembley last year, and avoid one of the league’s biggest home field advantages while simultaneously “visiting” a team who’s making their first trip overseas for a regular season game. With that said, it’s time to check out the key match ups for this week’s contest against the Kansas City Chiefs.
