Orginal pick: Laken Tomlinson. Offensive Tackle. LSU. La'el Collins. 1. player. 50

Laken is not necessarily a bad pick. He’s a rookie who is experiencing rookie growing pains. La’el Collins on the other hand is a rookie that’s experiencing early success in his NFL career. After murder case that nothing to do with him kept the rookie from being drafted over the summer, he decided to go to Dallas and protect Romo. Collins on the Lions allows the team to move Reiff over to the right side and give the line a better overall balance.

player. 50. Original pick: Ameer Abdullah. Running Back. Nebraska. Ameer Abdullah. 2

It doesn’t seem like it now, but in the long run Abdullah is the right pick. With an improved offensive line and better ball security, you will see what makes Abdullah an explosive option for the Lions run game. Along with Theo Riddick and Zach Zenner, the Lions have quite the three-headed monster for the future.

50. Original pick: Alex Carter. Cornerback. Miami (OH). Quinten Rollins. 3. player

Other than Rollins two interception game against the Rams, the rookie hasn’t really jumped off the page. Then again Alex Carter has yet to jump on the field. What the Lions get in Rollins is a young corner that can learn from the many veterans in the secondary while giving you at least some playing time.
