With things in the NFL far from the norm, your week 3 waiver wire targets may be more important than ever.

It’s official — time to hit the panic button for some owners in fantasy football. Running back DeMarco Murray deserves a spot on your bench in week 3, and New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (and his stellar beard) is a must-start in all leagues!

Yes, I’m kidding. Except for the stellar beard part. That thing is on point.

In all seriousness though, things in fantasy football are far from what most of us probably expected entering the 2015 season. We’ve seen a majority of the early picked running backs struggle, a plethora of injuries and the tight end position go from shallow to moderately deep.

With all of that in mind, were back again here at SLR attempting to help advise you on who you should pick up this week to help your team moving forward. Whether you started your season 0-2, 1-1 or 0-2, playing the waiver wire is one of the most important keys to bringing home the championship belt while heckling your friends.

Enough with the hoopla though. Let’s get this party started.

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Minnesota Vikings

Add another tight end to the mix of up and comers in 2015. Rudolph is currently owned in 73 percent of Yahoo leagues, but only 36.4 percent of ESPN leagues. With no true No. 1 receiving option in Minnesota, Rudolph has stepped and may be the new favorite target of second year signal caller, Teddy Bridgewater.

In week 2 against the Detroit Lions, Rudolph seen seven targets thrown his way, one of them a toss in the back of the endzone. Out of the rest of the Vikings receivers, no one seen more than three.

If your like a lot of other owners this season and are streaming tight ends week-to-week, the Kyle Rudolph is definitely a guy worth picking up.
