The 2014 Lions entered the season hopeful they’d be much more competitive than they’d been in previous seasons. Fortunately, they were right. Depth was team’s glaring Achilles heel which explains why the team’s 2014 DVOA dropped during the 2nd half of the season. In 2015, the Lions have addressed their issues by adding quality depth behind the team’s starters. Ngata, Walker and Reid look to be as formidable as any interior defensive line rotation in football, while Ansah and Hunt look poised to bring effective pressure from the edge. Depth, talent and a cutting edge defensive scheme should keep the Lions in the discussion for best defense in the league throughout the season.
What say you Lions fans, will the team’s defensive front keep the team competitive in 2015 or did the losses sustained doom the season? What’s your take?
