4. Chris Ivory, RB, New York Jets

While Chris Ivory was never really “off” the fantasy football radar, his name was not exactly considered a hot commodity either — which is surprising to me a bit. Ivory may not be a flashy, big play type of tailback, but he is the No. 1 RB on the New York Jets depth chart and that certainly counts for something.

Furthermore, the buzz from Jets camp was that Ivory will see at least 20 touches per game, largely due to a lack of competition behind him. (Also surprising when you think of the additions of Zac Stacy and Stevan Ridley.)

On top of the 20+ plus carries expected to be handed to Ivory, he will also get a vast majority (if not all) of the team’s goal line carries.

With the potential for Ivory to be the Jets work horse and every-down tailback, his value has reached the fifth round in some leagues come draft time. For me, I have absolutely no problem inserting Ivory as my RB2 in any league format.
