There’s no doubt that most of us have been accused of being a Lions slappy in our lifetime. It’s not a bad thing, though it is often conceived as  bad thing.

What is a slappy? a slappy is a fan that believes their team can do absolutely no wrong. The sky is always blue and this is the year the Lions win the Super Bowl. Any attempt to tell the slappy any different will result in said slappy calling you a hater or even a fan of another team in the NFC North.

I say slap on slappy. There’s nothing wrong with a little optimism. Seeing the bright side of things helps. Even if it’s a bad situation. Like the Lions wide receiver core has been for the last few years before 2014. I’m sorry, but Kris Durham and Kevin Ogletree is just not the answer. If we’re all being honest here, I liked the Ogletree pick up and thought it would work out.

That is a perfect example of me being a slappy, I also couldn’t see that the Lions 2013 season was going down the drain and going fast. I looked for every excuse and did all the math I could to find a way for the Lions to ake the playoffs and it didn’t happen. I invite anyone to be a slappy, but be prepared to be called as such, Just like me.
