Larry Donnell, TE, New York Giants

New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell burst onto the scene in dramatic fashion in 2014, scoring an impressive three touchdowns in a single game early on in the season. Naturally, this made him a hot commodity on nearly every waiver wire as people swooped in to try to solidify a position that was already considered weak prior to drafts.

For those who landed Donnell, they figured their woes to be over in this unsuspected gem. The thing was though, that their problems were just beginning.

Donnell ended the season with 63 receptions for 623 yards and six touchdowns. Disappointing stats even though the hype surrounding him was undoubtedly premature.

Entering the 2015 season, the Giants added pass-catching running back Shane Vereen and should have Victor Cruz back at some point after an injury-plagued 2014. That’s all in addition to the man that is Odell Beckham Jr.. Factor in Donnell is still dealing with an Achilles injury and he’s a TE1 that you’ll want to avoid.
