We are in the thick of things now Detroit Lions fans. Week two of 2015 pre-season is just a short time away. Last week the Lions did just about everything that fans hoped they would do. The offense looked sharp and the defense followed suit as well. It’s clear that the Lions were impressive last week. Even changing the opinions of those in the mainstream media.

Still it’s quite early and many questions are still up in the air. With the Lions heading to Washington this Thursday, let’s see what questions we have this week.
Can the offense sustain?
The offense showed what they could do on Thursday and they showed it quickly. Like a hibachi, the Lions got hot in under three minutes and capped off an exceptional drive with a 35 yard Golden Tate touchdown. The offensive line also did their part by allowing Ameer Abdullah to gash the Jets defense for 67 yards on only seven carries. Which brings me to my next question.
Will Ameer Abdullah shine again?
Ok let’s look at it one more time.
Fancy footwork.

Cuts on dime.
And can pick up 46 yards in a blink.
Football fans.. meet Ameer Abdullah. #NYJvsDET http://t.co/FY4EhwL4ir
It sure was nice to see a Lions running back do something like this. I think the love affair that Lions fans has officially begun. it’s hard to blame anyone for getting excited about Abdulah, but once again I urge Lions fans to temper their expectations. We still need to see if Abdullah can go out there and do it again. We will get our chance on Thursday.
If Abdullah and rip off another 67 yards or more, it will be even harder to contain the love and excitement that Lions fans have for the second round pick.
Will Calvin Johnson play?
Johnson was a healthy scratch against the Jets last week. The question now is should Lions fans expect to not see Johnson until week one? If Calvin Johnson does indeed play on Thursday, it will likely be for just one series. Maybe the question should be does Calvin Johnson need to play in this game?
Will we see more of Eric Ebron?

From what I saw at camp, Ebron looks to be an integral piece of the Lions offense in 2015. Last Thursday Ebron saw limited action with the ones as far as being a receiving threat. Ebron finished the game with one reception for 13 yards. He did look good in the blocking aspect especially. Making exceptional blocks like this one.
The Lions first team will likely play the entire first quarter this week, so be on the lookout for more Ebron.
Next: Moore to watch out for
