Age and no extension in sight

Ngata will turn 32 in January. His career is likely beginning to settle down. Sure there are players like Rashean Mathis or Ed Reed that were able to prolong their careers, but that does not mean that the Lions would be willing to risk the chance of Ngata being one of those exceptions. Time is running out for Ngata. How much does he really have left?

This was the last update Lions fans have been given about an extension. The question of will Ngata sign an extension with the Lions? has been floating around since his acquisition. It has to make you wonder who is holding back? Are Lions front office being cautious with their decisions after being publicly burned by Ndamukong Suh, or does Haloti Ngata have other ideas for his career?
