1. Running Back

This is where things will really start to pick up.

The Detroit Lions have a slew of talent in the backfield in 2015. From Joique Bell, to Ameer Abdullah, to Theo Riddick, to Zach Zenner, it’s hard to say exactly what the running back roster will look like when the regular season gets underway.

Bell is rumored likely to sit out OTA’s due to a few minor surgeries that he had on his Achilles tendon over the offseason. That will leave guys like Abdullah, Riddick, George Winn and Zenner to start duking it out — whether they’ll admit it or not.

The fact of the matter is, all of these guys are basically fan-favorites, but at least one of them won’t make the final 53 man roster in 2015.

But which one will that be?

The two obvious choices seem to be Detroit native, Winn, and undrafted rookie free agent, Zenner.

In the end, I believe Zenner, a former three-time 2,000-yard rusher, will grab one of the final roster spots.

Only time will tell how the running back situation plays out, but I’d keep my eye on all of these guys this week, because I doubt they wait to long to start showing their hand.
