5. Limited Size At Defensive Back
The NFC North is a tough division to play cornerback within, given the relative size and physicality of plenty receivers. Martin Mayhew has never favored the bigger defensive back, but it certainly would have been nice to see someone 6-1 or above coming on the roster to deal with Alshon Jeffery and company. Instead, Carter (6-0) and Diggs (5-9) were the additions. If Mayhew suddenly isn’t going to favor speed, he may as well favor size. Hopefully, Carter and Diggs are able to play bigger than their limited height might suggest.
