If not for an unfortunate knee injury, the runner could have been a sure first round pick given his powerful, tough and explosive running nature. Instead, now Gurley is forced to prove that he can make the long road back, and his first round loss could be someone else’s gain. Detroit might want to start developing a younger runner, and if Gurley shows this week how he’s healed, he could be the perfect answer to that question, and a major value considering he’s likely to fall significantly in the draft thanks to health concerns.

Drills to watch: All.
