For yet another season, the Detroit Lions fell short of their goal of reaching the Super Bowl, meaning for the 47th consecutive year, the NFC was forced to send another team in their place.

Once again, it’s the Seattle Seahawks who will represent the Lions’ conference by taking on the New England Patriots in Arizona. Detroit hasn’t encountered Seattle since beating them at home during the 2012 season, but the Lions were steamrolled by the Patriots this past November.
