3. Offensive line.

Much like cornerback, injuries intervened along the offensive line to the team’s detriment. Consistency was a problem at right tackle due to manpower lost, and the extent of Travis Swanson’s damage has not been revealed. Detroit has developed excellent young linemen the last few years, but will they allow one of their veterans (ala free agent guard Rob Sims or center Dominic Raiola) to walk in favor of adding a younger or more elite option along the line? Given a sparse market, there’s plenty of ways the Lions could choose to go, including making the position a major priority during the draft or working a trade.

Names To Remember: Marshall Newhouse (RT, Cincinnati), Jeff Linkenbach, (G, Kansas City), Dan Connolly (G, New England), Willie Colon (G, New York Jets).
