With the Detroit Lions halfway through their 2014 schedule, here is a position by position report card for how each unit has performed.

Halfway MVP. Matthew Stafford. QUARTERBACK. C. Matthew Stafford got out of the gate quickly with a fine performance against the New York Giants but otherwise hasn’t shown much improvement over last season. Sure, the Lions have dealt with a lot of injuries to their offensive skill players but most of the credit for keeping the ship from sinking goes to Golden Tate. To Stafford’s credit, his interception percentage has improved to 2.3%, down from 3.0% last season.
