Stock Up!

Chris Greenwood – Greenwood has had a strong preseason, for the most part making up for a poor training camp overall.  He may have lost some ground with the TD he gave up against the Jags late, but one of his key opponents to make the roster, Jonte Green, has already been cut.

Tahir Whitehead – I know, I already mentioned him once, but seriously, did you see that game?  Deserves a second mention.

George Johnson – Johnson once again had a strong preseason game, making it 3 for 3.  The journeyman hasn’t latched on previously, but his name keeps coming up because he keeps making plays.

Michael Williams – Most had expected Williams to be gone with the first round of cuts, but on the heels of some impressive blocking when he was finally able to see the field as a OT, he not only made it through but made it difficult to figure out who’s staying at OT.

Eric Ebron – Queitly having a good preseason, Ebron sprung the big Bush run by taking out three defenders.  Can’t block?  He appears to be listening.

Nate Freese – Not here because he ‘won’ the kicking competition, here because the Lions have already made it known that no one else will be brought in.  Freese didn’t win the job outright, but he’s already improved from where he was at BC.
