 Linebacker (5)

  • DeAndre Levy
  • Stephen Tulloch
  • Kyle Van Noy
  • Ashlee Palmer
  • Tahir Whitehead

This was a relatively easy position to sort out. These top-five players are considered locks at this point, and the only other player that really has much of a shot is Travis Lewis. I decided to keep an extra safety rather than Lewis because of the lack of depth there. Lewis has an outside shot due to his ability to play special teams, but I just don’t see it happening for a third straight year.

It’s been an ongoing battle between Kyle Van Noy and Ashlee Palmer for the starting strongside linebacker position, but I’m going to stick with my guns and say that KVN will win the job by the end of camp. KVN offers too much at the position while Palmer continues to look slow as of late.
