Detroit Lions Roster Prediction: Training Camp Edition

The Lions will bring back many of the same pieces that were on the team in 2013. The biggest battle will be for the right tackle spot as both Waddle and Hilliard continue to split first team reps during camp. The Lions have some pretty solid talent at the reserve spots with Austin, Swanson, and Lucas.
At this point I’d list Hillard as the third tackle and Lucas as the fourth. Lucas is a massive athlete that still working on refining his technique. He definitely has potential to develop into a starter down the road. If there’s one guy missing from the list that I’m unsure of it’s Rodney Austin. He’s been relatively quiet throughout camp (which can be good or bad). I don’t love the thought of Hilliard taking up cap space, but he’s a veteran player that actually could start come this fall.
