By the time this season has ended, there is a very good chance that the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and New Orleans Saints will make the playoffs and earn first-round byes in the process.
But that’s then. This is NFL power rankings for right now, and this week, those frontrunners all lost to teams with records no better than 7-6.
This just goes to show how unpredictable the NFL is. There’s a reason we don’t count out playoff possibilities that haven’t been mathematically eliminated yet, and that’s because the Saints can get beat down by the Rams when they’re trying for home field advantage.
So suffice to say, the rankings are about to get a bit jumbled up, as we try to figure out who’s making it into the playoffs and in what order.
Speaking of which, when you’re done with these power rankings, also have a look at SideLion Report’s team-by-team breakdown of the NFC playoff picture.
