As we enter the final quarter of the 2013 season, NFL power rankings around the league are stabilizing, and it’s easy to see who the Super Bowl favorites are. That’s why we have no newcomers to the top eight teams this week.
What we do have is an awful lot of movement in the middle of the rankings, as the hunt for the final playoff spot in the AFC and divisional races in the NFL heat up.
With so many teams bunched up at 5-6, there will be lots of movement as the group breaks up and leaders emerge. But we may not see much variance at the top of the rankings for the rest of the season, as the Seahawks, Broncos, Saints, Patriots and Panthers have proven themselves as the teams the beat, with the Chiefs, Bengals and 49ers not too far behind.
Then again, this is the time of the season when one team inexplicably heats up, rolls off a winning streak to make the playoffs, and becomes the team nobody wants to face in the playoffs. Last year, it was the Ravens.
Could it be this year again? And who else is in position to make a move? Click on ahead to find out.
