Last month when fantasy football leagues started opening up we brought you the initial SideLion Report top 100 for the 2013 season. Now that players are just about set to report for training camp, it is likely there will be an increase in leagues starting their drafts. With that in mind, it’s time to take a look at the updated top 100.
Before we get to the rankings, a couple reminders:
- This list is constructed on a numbers-based methodology so rest assured, haterade is not served here, nor is any favoritism being shown.
- The rankings are constructed as a suggested draft order so if the highest ranked player available during your draft is a wide receiver, your best move is to draft that wide receiver. Some fantasy footballers go into drafts dead-set on grabbing running backs with their first two picks or nabbing that superstar quarterback early. That’s a bad move because it ignores other opportunities that may maximize overall point-earning potential. In the end, it’s all about putting points on the board regardless of where they come from. These rankings are designed for maximum point potential.
- If you’re in a point per reception (PPR) or other non-standard league, these may not be the rankings for you.
Now to the rankings, look for an updated set after the second week of preseason games.
