Fans its officially mid season and boy it doesn’t look good for the Lions. Each week the Lions slip further down from each team in the NFC North and their playoff hopes seem like a long shot at this point. Can the Lions win at home against the Seahawks? Will the Jaguars upset the Packers? Can the Panthers stop the Bears winning ways?

Here are my week 8 predictions:
Jacksonville Jaguars at Green Bay Packers
The Packers aren’t going to lose this game. Aaron Rogers has regained his MVP form from a season ago, and he might get one of his best weapons back in Greg Jennings. The only concern I have with the Packers is their secondary, who just lost their most experienced player in Charles woodson. How the Packers handle their secondary woes might determine how good the team can be from here on out, and I’m not sure their is a man on their roster who can fill Woodson’s shoes.
Prediction: Packers win 35-21
Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears
The Bears are a very solid team, however I’m not so sure they are great. Last week the Bears won against the Lions at Soldier Field 13-6, a game they should have won by a landslide based on how the Lions were playing. This week will be a good test for the Bears, who are playing a Panthers. The Panthers may have won only one game so far this season, but they have played almost every game close, including a game where they lost to the Falcons on the last play due to a Cam Newton fumble. If Newton can keep his turnovers in check this could be a very interesting game.
Prediction: Bears win 24-17
Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions
This game is very hard to predict, mainly because the Lions are unpredictable. The Lions are so frustrating to watch because they have the talent to make the playoffs, but don’t show up till the fourth quarter, and even then they don’t always pull off a win. Will the Lions offense ever show up? This would be the week to do so as a blowout at home against a top ranked defense could give the Lions confidence and momentum to make a playoff run. This is Shack’s Game Of The Week, because the Lions have a knack for winning and losing games on the last drive and giving their fans a heart attack.
Prediction: Lions win 24-21
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings
For those who follow my weekly predictions I apologize for not getting the article out in time for this game. In my predictions for this game I had the Bucs taking down the Vikings in a close 23-20 win. Well, the Bucs surprised me in their blowout win and showed the NFL that this team has a lot of potential. As for the Vikings, they are about as good as I thought, an average team.
Recap: I have the Bears, Packers, and Lions winning this week making the NFC North 4-1 for the week. Don’t forget to leave a comment and share your NFC North Predictions! I’ll do my best to respond to any questions or comments you might have.
