3. Ernie Sims (2006, Rd. 1/Pick 9)
Sims isn’t a total bust like the other guys on the list. But he makes the list since he no longer plays for the Lions a mere 5 years after being select.
Sims was supposed to be the defensive leader the Lions were in dire need of, but he never panned out. He was also an undersized guy for the type of linebacker the Lions needed.
Sims was traded to the Eagles during the 2010 offseason and his tenure in Detroit ended without any real notable achievements during that duration.
