4. Roy Williams (2004, Rd. 1/Pick 7)
Williams actually made a little impact during his time with the Lions. But it was a lack of a consistent quarterback that led to Williams never really developing in Detroit.
In fact, it completely stunted his growth as a receiver as he still hasn’t come into his own in Dallas.
He did make the Pro Bowl, the first Lion since 1998, but he made it on an injury technicality.
The Lions didn’t totally lose out on this pick, in fact they got a first round and third round and sixth round pick from Dallas when they traded him to the Lone Star state. The Lions took Brandon Pettigrew, Derrick Williams and Aaron Brown.
