While many are speculating about who will replace dead man walking Head Coach Jim Caldwell, the man who his successor will answer to must also be hired. Owner Martha Ford, new President Rod Wood and the rest of the management staff need to hire a General Manager to take over for the deposed Martin Mayhew.

There are tons of names floated out there. Some are realistic, others are as big of a pipe dream as me scoring a date with Lily from AT&T and my wife approving of it.

Here are six candidates every Lions fan should know, plus a few rumored others which probably need to be put to rest…
