9. Charlie Batch

Real close to the likes of Kitna on the Lions' all-time passing list is a guy the Lions had high hopes for early on. Charlie Batch was a second-round pick back in the 1998 NFL Draft when he came out of Eastern Michigan.

As someone with that valuable of draft capital behind him, Batch was destined to become something halfway decent, at least, right? I mean, we're talking about the Lions. A second-round quarterback had to pan out, just a little.

Wrong.

For being a guy who had plenty of hope behind him, Batch lasted just four seasons in Detroit and went 19-27 as a starter in those games. He ended his Lions career throwing for 9.016 yards, 49 touchdowns and 40 interceptions.

Batch's best season came in 2000 when he went 8-7, threw for 2,489 yards, 13 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

Yeah, that was his best year.

Following his Detroit career, Batch would go on to play for just one more franchise, the Pittsburgh Steelers, as a backup before finally retiring after the 2012 season.

It gets better from here... kind of.
