Loser: Dan Campbell

Campbell took the blame for the gaffe at the end of the first half that saw the Lions' field goal unit come onto the field before the offense could spike the ball. He opened his postgame press conference, before a question was even asked, by expanding on that.

“I asked for improvement from last week. That,” Campbell said. “And we did improve, and the coach cost them. Their head coach cost them. Critical error at the end of the half 100 percent on me. . . . There was no way to justify this. It’s a massive error on my part and no one else’s. It was just between hurry-up field goal and clocking it and it was 100 percent my fault.”

Six drives that ended without a touchdown, the most by a Lion's team in a game since 1981 according to ESPN, was not Campbell's fault. That said, the final drive of the game takes on a different complexion if the Lions had been able to convert a field goal at the end of the first half. A field goal would have been all that was needed to win then, but instead they needed a touchdown.

Campbell taking full accountability for Sunday's loss, even if it's not completely deserved with what else was lackluster, is more evidence of why he's the right guy to lead this team.

Winner: Amon- Ra St. Brown

After a Week 1 dud, St. Brown was well lined up for a big game against the Buccaneers. And a big game he had, with 11 receptions for 119 yards on 19 targets. He also battled through a leg injury of some sort for roughly a quarter, as he took multiple low hits, and did not finish the final drive of the game.

The early news on the injury is good, chalked up to a contusion and cramping via a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

St. Brown needed a rebound performance, and he had one. That puts him here as a winner.
