1. QB Mason Rudolph
It doesn’t have to be all Lions’ players that are worth watching on Sunday, right? Campbell issued a challenge to Boyle and Blough to “take the reigns” in the competition to be the No. 2 quarterback, while leaving the door open to an outside addition.
"I think what we need is, we need somebody to really take the reigns here. Somebody needs to step up out of the two,” Campbell said. “I thought they both progressed last week. Somebody needs to step up and run this offense, play efficient, play smart, take care of the football, get us the first downs and when we get down to the red zone, score touchdowns for us.”"
Dan Campbell said "somebody needs to step up" between David Blough and Tim Boyle for the backup QB job. Boyle likely to start Sunday in Pittsburgh. He also hasn't ruled out bringing in a QB if the right guy fits with Lions having the No. 2 waiver claim position.

Rudolph, the Steelers No. 3 quarterback, is clearly available even if they’d surely hesitate to just cut him. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Friday he is drawing trade interest. It’s not a stretch to suggest the Lions are one of the teams who has shown interest.
In theory, they Lions will get a valuable live look at Rudoph on Sunday.
