CB. 2019-Present. 12. player. 50. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Amani Oruwariye

The Lions seem to have a real find in Oruwariye, who got noticed as he had a breakout season in 2021 with six interceptions. A fifth-round pick out of Penn State in 2019, he has started 29 games over the last two seasons and has steadily improved as his role as grown.

Detroit’s secondary needs help. But Oruwariye looks like a building block, and a Pro Bowl selection or two looks to be in his future.

Pick Analysis. S. 2018-Present. 11. player. Scouting Report. Tracy Walker. 50

After a tough season in 2020, Walker rebounded to lead the Lions in tackles last season as was put in a more ideal role. A 2018 third-round pick, he has topped 100 tackles in two of the last three seasons.

The Lions showed how much they value Walker by re-signing him to a pretty nice three-year deal this offseason. He is clearly seen as a building block in the secondary, and for the defense as a whole.
