4. Rashaan Evans

Evans had a fairly disappointing 2021 season with the Tennesssee Titans, culminating in being a healthy scratch for the playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. But the former first-round pick played every game in each of the two seasons before that, with 111 (2019) and 96 total tackles (2020) respectively.

Evans has never fully developed as a cover guy, despite two interceptions last season, so his role in Tennessee dissolved into a two-down role. But the Lions can certainly use a thumper who is stout in the run game and can get after the quarterback a little bit (2.5 sacks in 2019, 13 pressures over the 2019 and 2020 seasons). The Alabama product is certainly that.

3. Nick Kwiatkoski

Kwiatkoski spent the last two (disappointing as they were) seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, and not too surprisinly the new regime released him with a year remaining on his deal.

Prior to securing a bit of a bag in Las Vegas, Kwiakloski spent his first four seasons with the Chicago Bears. His best season came in 2019, with 81 total tackles, three sacks, eight tackles for loss, four pass breakups an an interception (66.0 passer rating allowed).

Kwiatkoski and the Lions look like a solid match, and he’d bring experience to a linebacking corps that needs it.
