Third Round

LB. Troy Andersen. 66. player. 50. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Montana State

Wyoming linebacker Chad Muma didn’t last to the Lions early in the third round, but Andersen was an easy backup plan and the pretty easy pick here. At over 6-foot-3 and 242 pounds, he ran a 4.42 40 at the NFL Combine, with a 36-inch vertical and a 128-inch broad jump.

The small school product started his college career as a quarterback, so he’s got some development in front of him to still do as a linebacker. But Detroit would gladly add his upside to their mix at linebacker.

Pick Analysis. player. Lecitus Smith. 97. Scouting Report. OG. Virginia Tech. 50

PFFs didn’t like this pick in its post-mock grade, giving it a D+. But Smith is experienced, with 37 career starts for the Hokies–mostly at left guard, but he did start once at left tackle last season. The Lions could use some depth along the offensive line, so I added a body to the mix here. Now we wait for the next pick……

Fourth Round

The Lions don’t have a 2022 fourth-round pick right now, as it’s property of the Cleveland Browns.
