Third Round

South Alabama. 66. 50. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Jalen Tolbert. player

The Lions are getting a look at Tolbert down in Mobile, and it seems he hasn’t disappointed.

Tolbert had 82 catches for 1,474 yards and eight touchdowns during his final season at South Alabama. Any concern about going against Sun Belt competition should be set aside as he goes up against NFL-caliber peers at the Senior Bowl, and against Tennessee last season he had a big game (seven catches for 143 yards and a touchdown).

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Clemson. 50. CB. Mario Goodrich. 97. player

Goodrich’s Clemson teammate, Andrew Booth, is in line to be a first-round pick. But to dismiss Goodrich (42 tackles, nine passes defensed last season) would be a mistake.

The Lions need depth at cornerback, and probably someone who can play immediately as Jeff Okudah and Jerry Jacobs work their way back from major injuries. Taking Goodrich earlier than here is possible for Detroit, but he fell to this projected compensatory pick as arguably the best player available who also filled a need,

Fourth Round

The Lions currently don’t have a fourth round pick in the 2022 draft.
