Wide Receivers

  • Kenny Golladay #19
  • Marvin Jones Jr #11
  • Danny Amendola #80
  • Quintez Cephus #87
  • Marvin Hall #17

The wide receiver position is one of the strengths of the team due to the depth and talent that the Lions have.

Kenny Golladay led the league last season in touchdowns with 11 and that was with his quarterback out for half the year. He also got 1,190 yards, the second year in a row that he’s gotten 1000+ receiving yards.

Marvin Jones Jr is an excellent secondary option in the Lions passing game and he should continue to be in 2020. He was found in the endzone nine times last season while getting 779 yards.

In his first season with the Lions, Danny Amendola got 678 reception yards on 62 catches and a touchdown. He also returned some punts last season where he got 55 yards on 10 attempts.

Quintez Cephus was one of two fifth-round picks of the Lions and while he may not get much playing time in his rookie year, he’s expected to contribute to the passing attack in the future. At the draft combine media presser, Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah stated that Cephus was the hardest guy to cover.

In limited playing time last season, Marvin Hall performed well. He caught seven of 11 targets for 261 yards and a touchdown.

The Lions wide receiver group should be a strength of the team for the 2020 season. In case someone were to go down with an injury or perform extremely poorly, they have the depth to replace them.
