Detroit Lions’ re-draft round 6

In the sixth round, the Detroit Lions selected T.J. Jones and we think that this was probably the best pick that Mayhew made that weekend. Jones played in Detroit for five years and was a good depth player as a wide receiver.

Jones could play in the slot or on the outside and was the third or fourth-best wideout on the team when healthy. At pick 189 in the sixth round, the Lions could have done worse.

T.J. Jones caught 64 passes for 814 yards and 4 touchdowns while in Motown. However, Quincy Enunwa, draft profile here, has outperformed him, as well as being bigger and a hair faster.

Enunwa has 119 receptions for 1,617 yards and 5 touchdowns as the 209th pick in the draft, so it wouldn’t have been that tough to find better production.

Enunwa ran a 4.45-second forty-yard dash at 6-2, 225-pounds and his one very good year was as good as Jones’ whole career.

Other undrafted players included Trey Hopkins, Isaiah Crowell, Willie Snead, and placekicker Cody Parkey, who made the Pro-Bowl as a rookie and has played for five NFL teams.
