Breshad Perriman

2019 team/Salary: Tampa Bay Buccaneers / $4 million

2019 stats: 14 games played, 4 starts, 36 receptions, 645 yards, 17.9 yards per reception, 6 touchdowns

Age: 26

Height/Weight: 6-2 / 215

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Perriman was the third member of one of the NFL’s most dangerous receiving trios this past year, along with star wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Perriman’s 2019 numbers pale in comparison to those of his better-known teammates. However, he proved he could not only be a solid complementary piece in a pass-centered attack but also rise to the occasion when his number is called more often.

After Evans and Godwin nursed injuries in the second half of 2019, Perriman averaged over 100 yards receiving the Bucs’ final five games. This included a monster performance at Ford Field in a Week 15 victory, in which he torched the Lions’ secondary for 113 yards and three touchdowns. No doubt he caught Detroit’s eye in that contest, as well as that of other potential suitors.

Perriman also has a unique connection to Detroit; his dad Brett Perriman played receiver for the Lions for six seasons between 1991-1996, including an impressive 1,488-yard campaign in 1995. Could he look to follow in his father’s footsteps? Has he priced himself out of the Lions’ budget? Will the Buccaneers be intent on keeping their potent receiving trio intact? We’ll find out in less than two months.
