2 players to watch for the Cowboys

Randall Cobb – A player well familiar to the Lions from his eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Cobb offers the Cowboys a steady veteran presence out of the slot, even if his most productive days are well behind him.

He had his best game of the season in last week’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings, posting his first 100-yard receiving performance since 2018’s opener. His matchup with slot cornerback Justin Coleman will be a key storyline in this game, as Coleman has had inconsistent performances against smaller, shiftier wideouts this season.

Kerry Hyder – A former defensive lineman for the Lions, Hyder was not retained after last season, due largely in part to his odd scheme fit in the gap-control defensive setup favored by Detroit’s current coaching staff.

Hyder was a great story as a former undrafted free agent who had a breakout season with the Lions in 2016 after losing weight and changing positions. He hasn’t made much noise this year in Dallas, but would undoubtedly like to have a good showing against his former squad.
