Kenyan Drake – Miami Dolphins

In what appears to be an effort to tank their season, the Miami Dolphins had a fire-sale earlier this year shipping off names like offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, linebacker Kiko Alonso, defensive end Robert Quinn, and wide receiver Kenny Stills.

That sale figures to continue right up until the trading deadline as the 0-6 Dolphins attempt to post a winless season. And their young running back, Kenyan Drake, could be the Lions’ next trade target. It has already been reported that Miami has engaged in trade talks about the 25-year old rusher.

Drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Alabama, Drake had his best season as a professional just last year. He racked up 535 rushing yards and four touchdowns averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Drake also had 53 receptions for 477 yards and five scores through the air.

It’s that dual-threat ability, much like Theo Riddick had for the Lions, that could make Drake an attractive trade option for Detroit as they continue to look to build around quarterback Matthew Stafford and give him more playmakers.
