Fresh off their bye week, the Detroit Lions will head to chilly Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers in Motown’s first divisional battle of the season.
The Detroit Lions spent last week on bye, allowing some of their ailing players extra time to heal up with the bulk of their schedule still ahead of them. And their next opponent will be the first of two back-to-back divisional battles. Detroit will head to Lambeau Field to face off against the Green Bay Packers in a primetime matchup on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
With a 4-1 record, and fresh off a victory over the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers sit atop the NFC North division. But trailing right behind Green Bay are the pesky 2-1-1 Lions, who nearly pulled off an upset victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Four.
The Lions are hoping their bye week has allowed stars like quarterback Matthew Stafford (hip), cornerback Darius Slay (hamstring), and rookie sensation and first-rounder, tight end T.J. Hockenson (concussion), to recover from their injuries enough to play against their divisional rivals.
