Tre Boston

Boston signed this past offseason at a shockingly cheap $1.5 million contract. After getting underpaid last offseason Boston will be looking to get paid a fair amount this year. Spotrac.com doesn’t currently have a projection for him but at this time last year he was supposed to get a contract worth about $8.2 million annually.

Boston racked up 79 total tackles last season along with one forced fumble, nine passes defensed, and three interceptions en route to a season grade of 74.1 from PFF. Boston would have to battle for the starting job with Walker, but because of experience, would likely win. Even if he did not win the starting job, the Lions use three safety sets enough to make signing Boston worth the money as he would be significantly cheaper than Joyner or Clinton-Dix.

*After a less productive year and being another year older, Boston will probably be looking at a maximum annual deal of $5-$7 million per year*
