Shane Ray

Age/Experience: 25, 4 years
Height/Weight: 6-3, 245 lbs.
2018 Base Salary: $1,678,484
2018 Statistics: 11 games, 1.0 sack, 1 tackle for loss

Ray was actually part of a draft day trade involving the Lions in 2015. He was taken with the 23rd overall selection after the Lions traded that pick to the Denver Broncos to acquire the 28th overall pick and other pieces.

This was all under former Lions general manager Martin Mayhew. Times and schemes have changed and Ray’s size and height could fit well with the Lions preferred profile of larger linebackers.

Ray likely won’t come cheap, but he seems like a sure bet to leave the Broncos at this point. The Lions would be smart to inquire.
