2019 NFL Draft: Fifth Round, 147th Overall

The Detroit Lions select …

Name: Logan Parker
Position: Tight End
School: Southern Utah
Height/Weight: 6-4, 251
2017 Stats: 43 recs, 560 yards, 5 tds
2018 Stats: 20 recs, 241 yards, 1 td
Draft Round Projection: 4-6 Rounds

Pick Analysis: The Lions need a bigger receiver presence at the tight end position in 2019. And this small school gem fits the bill. Logan Parker is a name that is likely to raise some eyebrows as the draft approaches as his measurables will make him an attractive selection.

Parker did have a down senior season at SUU after a junior year that had some thinking he could be as high as a second or third round selection in 2019.  More big receiver than blocker, the ultra-athletic tight end could be a nice find in the fourth round for Detroit if he’s still on the board.
