Offense North Team

Andy Isabella, WR, U Mass, 5-9, 186, 4.44

Isabella is a “riser”, player whose stock is making big gains, due to his showing in Mobile. The Massachusetts product hasn’t faced great competition prior but looks like a prospect who can get separation on an NFL-caliber cornerback.

At just under 5-foot-9, Isabella has excellent hands and is a really good route runner which allows him to get great separation. That is definitely an element that Detroit Lions wide receivers could use more of to win one-on-one matchups and make Matthew Stafford’s job easier.

Adding a quick slot player in with Marvin Jones, Jr. and Kenny Golladay would reload the weapons that Detroit had to start the 2018 season.

It is believed that Isabella could be a Day 2 selection, which means either a second or third pound pick. He could fill a Golden Tate kind of role out of the slot and has very good after-the-catch capabilities. With the Lions needs this could be a slightly steep price for a slot player, though.
