T.J. Lang – Offensive Guard

Quality guards are scarce in this up-and-coming free agent class. Should Lang decide to continue playing football and the Lions want to move on, there’s some good value here. Especially if a starter on another team goes down in training camp/preseason.

Age ( turning 32) and injuries are mounting and his contract expires after 2019. He’s willing to take a pay cut just to stay but Detroit has to be interested.

Asking price per draft pick: 4th-5th round

Expected draft compensation: 5th-6th round

Best trade type based on value: Player for player

Best time to exercise trade: Offseason/Preseason
