Number 5, Ben Roethlisberger

Number 18 on the NFL’s Top 100, Big Ben, had a pretty good year for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger is another player who gets a lot of credit for his team’s success.

Roethlisberger has two Lombardi’s, six trips to the Pro Bowl, and is known for his toughness in the pocket. The Steelers went 13-3, with one win coming while Ben was out.

Roethlisberger takes number five due to his relative high propensity for turnovers, and the fact that his team is a constant source of help to his numbers.

Despite being known for holding the ball longer than most quarterbacks can, Roethlisberger was only sacked 21 times in his 15 games played. The Steelers defense was 7th in scoring, and his team’s 20th ranked rushing attack was still more helpful than other players on this list.
