OTHER DEFENSIVE PLAYERS

First Round Verdict – YES

Linebacker and cornerback don’t necessarily represent a huge need this year. But there are two guys that the Detroit Lions must draft, if they fall.

Speed, height, and length are the best ways to describe linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (Virginia Tech) and cornerback Josh Jackson (Iowa). Bob Quinn will have quite the dilemma with these two.

Edmunds and Jackson are not a huge need in terms of position, but they are two guys that look destined to play on Sunday at a very high level. Nothing is for sure in the draft, but this kind of talent matched with the physical attributes makes these guys worthy of the pick.

Then there is the offensive side of the ball. There are players worth consideration, but later in the draft feels more appropriate.
