2) Derrius Guice – Louisiana State

Guice has for the moment has seen his stock drop a littler in the draft, but he has good size at 5’11”, 212 lbs and was a workhorse. His 5.3 yards a carry in a tough conference was outstanding while rushing for 1,252 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

Despite the knee injury that caused him to miss the game against Troy, he seemed to be 100% and almost unstoppable by the end of the season. It certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing to see him in a Lions uniform.

3) Royce Freeman – Oregon

Freeman is a back whose stock has been hurt by injuries. But at 5’11” and 230 lbs he is a big back that has outstanding feet. His 1,475 yards with a 6.0 yard average was good, but when you consider he is the Ducks all-time leading rusher you realize that he has been consistently productive.

Freeman wasn’t used as much in the passing game as some other backs, but it wasn’t because of his hands. He should be a very productive three down back in the NFL provided he can stay healthy.
