At this point in the draft, the Cowboys don’t have a ton of options, but a main thing that they do need is a wide receiver to give quarterback Dak Prescott someone to throw to.

Dez Bryant appears to have slowed, in fact he hasn’t had a 1,000 yard season since 2014. While the running game for the Cowboys has been good featuring Ezekiel Elliott.

Injuries up front and the suspension to Elliott derailed the high hopes for the 2017 season. If Prescott is going to take another step forward, he needs a WR1.

While a linebacker, guard/ tackle, or safety might be attractive here, this class has few prospects capable of developing into a number one receiver. Sutton isn’t a blazer, but he’s got good speed and hands, and most importantly, a 6-3, 216 pound frame that has produced 31 touchdowns for the Mustangs.
