“Built Quinn Tough”

Likely, no decision will be as big as the decision he will have to make quickly after the Lions face the Green Bay Packers, this Sunday. A winning record and bragging rights over their division foe are at stake. The Lions could sweep the Packers, although, neither team has any postseason possibilities.

Why might Quinn have to act quickly? There could be an unprecedented number of head coach openings during this offseason, starting this coming Monday. This article published by thescore.com’s  Arun Srinivasan and Mitch Sanderson communicates a common sentiment flying around the NFL right now, and originally articulated by Fox Sports reporter, Jay Glazer.

So, on Monday, Quinn will announce to fans NFL-wide whether or not he is running the ship, either by words or inaction. If he even waits a day, other teams may get a jump on finding the best coaching candidates.

Black Monday, is the moniker of the Monday after the season is over. That is the day that many coaches are relieved of their duties.
