Final Judgement

Bob Quinn seems reserved, measured, and conservative. He’s kept head coach Jim Caldwell, and has defended the move.

He seems to want to keep Matthew Stafford, and has defended that move. All of his moves seem low-risk and very calculated. He doesn’t do blockbuster trades.

Quinn is running the New England Patriots playbook, trying to recreate their success in Detroit. I could see him using a combination of moves given the options available now.

I believe he would possibly bring in a free agent, or execute a low-cost trade; perhaps a mentor-type player like Chase Daniel, New Orleans, Josh McCown, New York Jets, or Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tampa Bay. Then, let that guy compete with Rudock and Kaaya.

The following year, he would likely draft another player, but perhaps not in the first round; he seems to want to find that diamond in the rough. Unfortunately, Tom Brady isn’t always sitting there.

Are you ready to give Stafford the Ace Ventura treatment and hide him in a warehouse until after he’s replaced? Or to try to rescue the endangered lion?

Laces out, Ray.” You’re crazy if you like any of these options better than what we have.

Let me know what you think, though.
