Much like corner, safety features one guy who is among the best at his position. Also like corner, safety has almost no proven quality on the depth chart after their number one.

The training camp battle for the starting strong safety spot will be a three horse race between Rafael Bush, Tavon Wilson and Don Carey. Youngsters Miles Killebrew and Isaiah Johnson will also be in the mix but none of the names listed should inspire confidence as the starter in the Lions’ last line of defense.
